To clip sphynx nails, you must get accustomed to the process. The first thing is to clean the sphynx nails to get the dirt off. You can either do this by bathing the cat or using baby wipes. Next, hold the sphynx and sit it on your lap or table. Hold the paw and put pressure on it. You’re going to notice a pink part. Do not trim this because it might cause pain or blood to your cat.
Once you see the long nail, trim half of it and remember to leave the pink spot. This may take practice, but once you get used to it, the next time should hopefully be easier! Don’t get confused with trimming and the process of declawing. Declawing is a controversial practice and should be considered very carefully before proceeding.
